Welcome back!  We are kicking off the year with our annual Fox Trot! This is a fun run FUNdraiser hosted by the Fall River PTO every September to help raise special funds for financial grants for Fall River teachers, students and facilities!  Some of the grants are used for: a Reading PARA; Kindergarten Lexia Core5 Reading licenses for all Kindergartners; transportation expenses for field trips; and grants for homeroom teachers, specials teachers, counselors, and the Special Education team etc. This is our one big fundraiser we participate in as a whole and is used to directly benefit the school each year. We want to stress that the most important part of the Fox Trot is for the kids to have fun!

The Fox Trot is held at Stephen Day Park and the course is the sidewalk loop close to the parking lot. The students go to Stephen Day Park by grade level and run with their teacher/class. Discovery Den and Preschoolers run/walk 1 lap, Kindergartners run/walk for 15 minutes, and 1st-5th graders run/walk for 20 minutes. The kids can collect either flat donations or per lap. Every student gets a complimentary Fox Trot t-shirt (also used for field trips, spirit days, and field days). 

PTO gives out prizes to the kids for helping fundraise. Raising $25 earns a fun color changing cup and $100 raised earns an invite to The Ultimate Fox Party on Friday, September 30th (bounce houses, KONA ice, popcorn, dance party, and more fun)).  To add to the fun, there is also friendly competition between classes in grades K-5th.  The class in each grade level that raises the most money as a class earns an ice cream party. Also, PTO has put together some fun goodie bags for the top three fundraising Foxes in the school.

Fundraising envelopes and Race Day permission slips will be coming home in Friday folders.
